Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to cook to take a class?
Absolutely not! You only need the desire to learn to cook, that's why we do the classes.
Do I need to bring anything to class?
No, not really. Just wear comfortable clothes and non skid shoes and be ready to have fun. We will have all the supplies needed for the class and an apron for you to wear (if it's a hands-on class). We even supply a pen or pencil to take notes.
How long are the classes?
Most classes last between 1 1/2 and 2 hours long and they do start promptly, so please arrive 10 minutes early to get settled and grab a good seat. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. We will let you know in advance if the class time is significantly shorter or longer than the average.
How many people are in each class?
We have seating for 20 people and classes will have between 10-20 people. *Please note that we reserve the rite to cancel or reschedule classes that do not have a minimum of 10. We don't anticipate this to be a concern, but there are occasions when unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances will arise. You will always have the opportunity to take the same class again or enroll in another class, but no refunds will be given. If a class is full, you can add your name to the waitlist. If an opening for a waitlisted class becomes available, you will be contacted by phone and e-mail. Please leave both day and night time phone numbers.
Will I actually be cooking in the class?
Most classes are demonstration format unless specified otherwise. Students are provided with all recipes cooked in class and are served samples of all the food prepared.
Will there be tasting of the recipes in the class?
Participants are served a generous portion of each of the dishes that are prepared in class.
Will I have a copy of the recipes to take home?
Yes, we will give you copies of everything that will be covered in the class along with an extra sheet of paper for you to take notes, so bring a pen or pencil.
What if I have more questions about a particular class?
You are welcome to call ahead to have any questions answered by anyone on or knowledgeable staff. As always, you are also welcome to stop in anytime.
What are the age requirements to take a class?
Adult classes are open for ages 16 and older. If a class is being offered specifically for children, it will be noted on the calendar.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa and Master Card. If you register online you will need to call us to confirm your reservation, & provide us with your credit card info. to hold your spot. If you register in person, we can always take cash payments.
What if I need to cancel my reservation for a class?
All class reservations must be accompanied by full payment or a credit card number to hold your spot. Please check your schedule carefully before registering. Delish has a strict 72 hour cancellation policy. With less than 72 hours cancellation notice or if you miss the class, no refunds will be given and you will be charged for the class; however you may always send someone in your place. "No Shows" and same day cancellations that are not weather related will be charged the full price of the class....no exceptions! PLEASE don't ask us to make an exception for you regarding this policy. We have this strict police to ensure that the class price can stay reasonable for everybody. You should think of it as if you have purchased a ticket to a concert; if you are unable to attend you may give your ticket to someone else but you would not be given a refund on your ticket for (whatever) reason you were unable to attend.
Same day cancellations due to unsafe weather will be handled two different ways. If you need to cancel, we will charge you half the price of the class (to cover the cost of already purchased foods). If you have paid in advance and we cancel the class due to unsafe weather conditions or low enrollment, we will gladly give you a voucher for the full price of another class, but no refunds will be given. Registration and attendance are subject to the condition that Delish, Inc. and its directors, officers and employees are released from all responsibilities for any injury, and loss or damage, however caused that may be sustained by a person or persons attending the school.
